What is the opportunity?
CACEIS Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting the European countries across various geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of the operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximize efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centers of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.
Reporting to the Director, individual will be responsible for managing production teams IMS, namely:
I. Flow Acquisition Management - Coordinates and monitors trade instruction flows across teams, ensuring seamless processing and timely execution without operational delays
II. Middle Office - Performs validation, monitoring, and control between front office and operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance across all trade processes
Individual to constantly seek opportunity to increase production and accuracy for operations in Kuala Lumpur serving the hubs of different geographies-based client. The working hours will be between 8.00AM up to 7:00PM MYT
What will you do?
• Production – Manage daily production of Flows Acquisition Management and Middle Office services against agreed internal and client SLA
• People Management – Driving people initiatives through the formulation of development plans with the team managers to build talent pipeline.
• Developing future plans – Anticipate growth and changes, devise plans to adjust and to build a sustainable operating model in the long term
• Project Management – Drive and support key projects for IMS business which includes onboarding new activities, system enhancements and new system development.
• Operational Effectiveness – Develop and implement comprehensive operating procedures and establish an environment of continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis to maximize efficiency and quality within the department and alignment with globally harmonized and agreed procedures.
• Risk Management - Ensure procedures are adequate to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory & audit requirements as well as internal risk management policies to mitigate financial/reputational risk for existing processes as well as new transitions.
• People Management – Directly manage a team from a business and people perspective.
• Human Resources Management and Development - Build a high-performance team and ensure human resource policies are effectively implemented and administered.

Experience
• 10-15 years financial services industry experience, preferably Investor Services or Investment Banking Operations
• At least 5 years in a leadership role and experience in managing a team of > 20 FTE
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Custody, Cash, Forex, Middle Office, Securities settlements and trade management would be an added advantage
