We are hiring a Team Manager to join the Custody Team, managing 2 Corporate Actions teams.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, the Team Manager will play a critical role in ensuring team development, compliance, and smooth operations. Some of the responsibilities will include

  • People Management Day to day tasks:
  • Managing and motivating the team to produce high quality results
  • Acting as local Corporate Actions expert
  • Fostering a client mindset to ensure delivery of the services to internal and external clients within prescribed timeframes with a high level of quality.
  • Supporting and leading recruitment, onboarding and development of the team
  • Risk Management and Compliance
  • Process Optimization and Efficiency
  • Providing technical support to the team as needed and intervening in cases requiring business expertise.
  • Leading Daily Team huddles, Weekly Team meetings, quarterly 1:1s
  • Accountable for Global Servicing from operating location (includes shifts and work on bank holidays as required)

 

Team Operational Tasks as performed by Team:

  • Announce to client incoming events for which their choice or action is requested
  • Execute corporate action events in order to reflect a correct safekeeping position in our records
  • Provide updates on any inquiry received from external clients
  • Collect the client's choice for optional events and process them accordingly
  • Respect deadlines from issuers and custodians
  • Process payment message as per information collected 
  • Monitor carefully activity dashboard to prioritize items and maintain it in a clean state

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related experience

Level of minimal experience

0-2 years

Experience

  • 5-8 years Transversal experience in a Global custody or related financial role.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated people management experience.

Required skills

  • 5 years of financial services experience within [Back office operation / settlement / corporate actions, etc.]

  • Securities knowledge (Could be from CSC and or banking industry experience)

  • Excel (Pivot tables, Chart manipulation, Basic Formulas

  • Attention to detail

 

  • Knowledge of SWIFT messages type (especially 56X for corporate action and/or 54X for settlement)
