As an intern, you’ll work out of our Amsterdam office within an experienced team, collaborating with colleagues from Europe and Malaysia. Als stagiair Fund Distribution maak je deel uit van de afdeling Fund Distribution Services, die bestaat uit 4 teams: Client Services Fund Execution, Fund Agent, Transfer Agent en Issuing & Paying Agent. De afdelingen werken nauw samen en jouw verantwoordelijkheden zullen overlappen tussen de verschillende teams. Functieomschrijving: In deze uitdagende meewerkstage leer je over de operationele activiteiten rondom de distributie van beleggingsfondsen, zowel aan de investeerderszijde als aan de fondszijde. Om te beginnen leer je over de operationele processen aan de ontvangende kant van instructies, waarbij je handelt namens de fondsen. De communicatie is meestal gestandaardiseerd, maar de complexiteit wordt veroorzaakt door de verschillen tussen diverse fondsstructuren en regelgevende verplichtingen. Een ander aandachtsgebied van het team is het behandelen van vragen met betrekking tot orderuitvoering in niet-beursgenoteerde fondsen. In deze markt is standaardisatie nog niet gebruikelijk en veel fondsen maken nog gebruik van een grote variatie aan communicatiekanalen. Dit resulteert enerzijds in een grote diversiteit, dynamiek en complexiteit in communicatiemethoden en anderzijds is duidelijke en transparante communicatie naar de klant essentieel. Binnen de afdeling leer je de ins en outs van de fondsverhandelingsactiviteiten en werk je mee aan initiatieven om te analyseren hoe we processen sneller, beter en efficiënter kunnen laten verlopen. Jouw profiel: Een geschikte kandidaat voor deze functie voldoet aan het volgende profiel: Je volgt een bacheloropleiding, bij voorkeur in een financiële richting. Je bent leergierig, analytisch, flexibel en blijft rustig in stressvolle situaties. Je bent een teamspeler met het vermogen om zelfstandig te werken. Meewerkstage Performance, Risk & Compliance Wil je tijdens je meewerkstage inzicht krijgen in de performance, risk en compliance van beleggingsportefeuilles? Bij CACEIS krijg je de kans om onderdeel te zijn van het Performance, Risk & Compliance team en samen te werken met collega’s uit verschillende teams binnen de organisatie. Je ondersteunt voornamelijk bij voorbereidende en operationele werkzaamheden, waardoor je van dichtbij meemaakt hoe performance, risk en compliance van beleggingsportefeuilles worden beheerd in een professionele en internationale omgeving. Wat ga je doen? Tijdens deze stage draag je bij aan de dagelijkse werkzaamheden van het team. Je werkzaamheden bestaan voornamelijk uit voorbereidende taken binnen performance, dagelijkse compliance werkzaamheden en het opvolgen van Cost Transparency & Benchmarking (CT&B)-gerelateerde acties. Unpaid internship Within Caceis Bank, you will work in the depositary control team in Brussels. You will have to perform controls on UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds (Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, etc.) in order to monitor that the funds remains in line with the regulatory framework. Main missions: Investment ratios / restrictions • Verify that the Asset Manager is following the regulatory ratios and specific rules mentioned in the prospectus (for instance: eligibility criteria’s, concentration risk, Value at Risk, ESG, etc.) • Monitor the regularization of anomalies in permanent relation with the Asset Manager Inventory controls • Perform reconciliation on the assets and liabilities (for instance : securities, valuation, liabilities, other receivables, debts, establishment of the net asset value, control of ownership, etc.). • Perform cash monitoring (cash reconciliation, monitoring of flows in the bank statements) • Follow up a control plan containing all the information necessary for the controls of the fund management UCI monitoring • Analyze of prospectus or their modification • Ensure that the transactions carried out by the Asset Managers are settled on time • Analyze prospectus of funds subject to control of investment restrictions Specific controls • Perform and / or participate in control missions in the form of audits / questionnaires / visit to Management Companies / Fund Managers • Perform specific controls on dividends, fees, subscriptions/redemptions, record keeping, etc. • Liaise with various departments within Caceis Group such as the Middle and Back Office teams and with external counterparty such as Fund Administrator, Transfer Agent, Management Companies, Board Members, Auditors and the Regulator • Support the team during meetings or notable events • Participate in the redaction of our Depositary Bank Report
